Payment Options

All consultations and treatment should be paid for at the time.
All surgical and hospitalised cases should be paid for at the time of collection.
Payment may be made via cash or card.

Insurance Claims

We are happy to process insurance claims on your behalf. Under normal circumstances, the outstanding account should be settled at the time and the insurance claim paid directly to the owner.

We are able to make claims to the insurers where the claim is paid directly to the practice. This would usually require a pre-authorisation form to be completed and submitted before treatment is commenced. A copy of a valid, current insurance certificate will need to be provided, along with a signed insurance claim form. The excess must be paid on collection of the pet.

Unfortunately due to increasing problems dealing with delays from insurance companies we have to limit direct claims to certain circumstances:

• Initial claims for treatment or surgery over £200
• Continuation (repeat) claims over £100 these can only be made if a claim form/ link is supplied at the time of treatment/ collection of medication

Provision of the above does not guarantee payment by the insurer and it is the owner’s responsibility to check they are covered. The owner will remain responsible for the fees until they are paid in full.

Should you have any difficulty paying for treatment, it is essential that this is discussed BEFORE treatment so that a sensible solution can be reached. This will avoid difficulties at a later stage.
